Regulations
The LONDON INLINE MARATHON is subject to the
race regulations of FISS, the Federation of Inline Speed Skating.
All decisions of the Organising Committee are final.
Eligibility to Compete
It is mandatory for all participants to wear helmets.
Other protective equipment, such as wrist guards, knee and elbow pads, is recommended.
Open to inline and quads skaters.
Elite and Open Marathon -- 26 miles
Open to male and female skaters aged 16 or over on 02-Sep-2007.
An elite racer must be licensed with their national federation,
and provide proof of licence at the time of registration.
Non licensed skaters must provide proof of identification upon
registration.
Parental consent will be required for those skaters who are under
18 on 02-Sep-2007 and must be
presented at the registration desk when collecting the race documentation.
Elite and Recreational Half Marathon -- 13 miles
Open to male and female aged 13 or over on 02-Sep-2007.
An elite racer must be licensed with their national federation,
and provide proof of licence at the time of registration.
Non licensed skaters must provide proof of identification upon
registration.
Parental consent will be required for those skaters who are under 18 on 02-Sep-2007 and must be
presented at the registration desk when collecting the race documentation.
Mini Marathon (All skaters under 13) -- 2 or 3 miles
Open to male and female skaters in Infant (6-9 year old) and Pupil category (10-12 year old).
Skaters in Infant category will skate 2 miles and skaters in Pupil category will skate 3 miles.
Parental consent will be required for all skaters in these categories and must be
presented at the registration desk when collecting the race documentation.
British Championships
Open to skaters Licensed to the Federation for Inline Speed Skating and who are British citizens or have resided in the UK for at least 5 years prior to the race date.
Skaters taking part in the British Championships can only race the event matching the official British Championships Distance for
their category. The category is determined by the age of the skater on 01-Jan-2007. A skater may upgrade his category with FISS approval.

The entry fee includes the timing system, rental of the circuit, water station and one tee-shirt
for those who register before 10-Aug-2007. On the day, we shall accept only
cash payments or cheques with card guaranty. Participant agrees that the entry fee may not be claimed back in the event that he does not start
the race or if the event is cancelled due to a cause beyond the organisers' reasonable control.
How to register
You can register online on the London Inline Marathon website (www.londoninlinemarathon.com) and
pay through the
PayPal system.
Alternatively you can fill a printed form you can download from the website and send it with a cheque
for the appropriate amount. We regret that we can only accept UK cheques in
pounds sterling (GBP). You can also register on the day; however we shall accept only cash payments or cheques
with card guaranty.
Deadline
Deadline for receipt of
postal registrations and payment is Sunday 01-Jun-05.
Online registration and payment will be open up to Friday 17-Jun-05 midnight, or until all availlable entries are taken.
Registration on the day may be possible if space is available.
Limit: 200 skaters per race, please
register early to avoid disappointment.
Classifications
Besides the overall classifications, there are separate age-group classifications.
There is also a team race in each event, team results being determined by adding together the times of the
first three finishers (male or female) from a club or other organization.
Separate team entries are not required, but only skaters who are pre-registered
by 01-Jun-05 and have indicated their team on their registration form will have their race time counted toward team results.
Results, Awards and Prizes
All results will be made available through the www.londoninlinemarathon.com web pages as quickly as possible
after the race.
Awards will be given to the overall winners (male and female), the first three in each classification and
to the first three teams.
All competitors who are pre-registered before 01-Jun-05 will receive a t-shirt.
Timing
The timing is by Real-Time-Championchip*. We accept personal chips. Alternatively the chip can be rented
for the event at a cost of £5. Competitors renting a chip will be required to pay a deposit of £10
when they collect their race number - this will be refunded when they return the chip after the race.
The rental chips wre not for sale, and cannot be used at any other events.
The chip must be attached on the boot in the lace area or on the ankle with the provided cable or strip. NOT ON THE FRAME !

Confirmation
Confirmation of entry will
be sent only if the competitor provides an email address.
Race Documentation
The race pack and numbers may be collected from 8.45 a.m. on race day at the Lee Valley Circuit.
Race numbers are to be worn on each thigh/legs. The race number
must not be changed in any way.
Course
The course is an officially measured one mile track (26 laps = 26 miles or 41.842km).
Basically triangular the track is smooth asphalt, running anti-clockwise with some undulations,
bends and hills. A lap counter will be positioned adjacent to the Start/Finish
line. A bell will be rung at the beginning of the final lap for the lead
skaters/groups.
First Aid
Emergency First Aid will be provided.
Refreshment and Water Stations
Course: A refreshment station will be situated some
50 metres from the Start/Finish line. It will open after five laps have been
completed in the Marathon and Half-marathon.
Finish: Refreshments will also be available to competitors finishing their race.
Finish
The races will be closed at the following race times: 1h45min Recreational Half-marathon; 30min Mini-marathon; 2h45min
Elite/Fitness Full-marathon
At the respective times officials will not allow
skaters to start a further lap of the course.
Changing Rooms and Showers
A limited changing room and shower facility is available at the circuit.
Skaters will not be allowed to leave their belongings in the changing room except when showering.
Liability
Participation is at the skater’s risk. Liability of any kind will be assumed neither by the organiser,
the federation, the circuit, sponsors, nor officials. This also applies to
accidents, lost items of clothing and other belongings. Collection of race
number acknowledges fitness to compete and agreement of the present terms and conditions.
Your Privacy
The data we collect from you at registration will be used only for the normal running of the event. It shall not be passed to any third party, expect for normal operational reasons
(e.g. to RaceAhead who provides us the Real-Time-Championchip timing system and computes the results). The results will be published on this website (along with name, sex, team, category, race number).
We shall use the e-mail address you used to register to send you information on this year's marathon and following London Inline Marathons. You will be able to unsubsribe from this mailing system once the event you registered for is completed.
Participants grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion or television pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.
Amendments
Information, regulations and conditions shown on this page are subject to changes.
